RML Short Wheelbase
Following the success of the vehicle build programs for 3rd party brands, RML embarked on the development of its own super-luxury vehicle, the RML Short Wheelbase. Limited to 30 units worldwide, the SWB is RML’s take on a modern version of the legendary 250 SWB. It combines classic styling with high-performance engineering. This is a bespoke, ultra-low volume project executed to the highest possible standards. The RML Short Wheelbase is packaged for the 21st century. With ample leg and headroom even for 2m tall occupants, the fabulous interior features a high level of comfort and discreet modernity. RML’s in-house electronics team have complemented the classic styling with modern adornments, including a hidden Sat Nav system which deploys on demand, brilliantly effective air-conditioning, and superb infotainment. Likewise, there’s the simple convenience of cupholders and the sophistication of smartphone connectivity, including Apple CarPlay. The first two customer cars have been delivered and the third is currently in build, the RML SWB is priced at £1.35m (plus taxes) and has won ‘The Best Tribute Vehicle’ in Robb Report’s Best of the Best 2022 awards.
Continuation Cars
Heritage cars are as important to us as those of today and tomorrow. Our exacting standards help us construct meticulous recreations of any classic vehicle and create faithful replicas of iconic models. We work across parts design and manufacture through build and finishing to OEM standards with quality workmanship always our top priority. With such desirable cars, it’s always a pleasure to see them in their natural environment. To enable you to enjoy your individual vehicle, RML has developed the skills and experience in vehicle homologation and has completed approvals for several continuations and one-off hypercars.
High Performance Batteries
Since developing an EV solution for Le Mans in 2014 and having developed the battery for one of the world’s fastest EV cars in more recent times, RML continues to be at the forefront of developing EV technology in the automotive industry. RML has therefore invested heavily in its battery manufacturing facilities, building upon its state-of-the-art design and engineering competencies to become a full suite provider of solutions. The investment provides RML with substantial capacity to exploit the gap in the market for bespoke low-volume battery packs for the mobility sector – a demand that is particularly prevalent in the UK and wider markets with its traditional focus on lower-volume manufacturing. Complete Vehicle Engineering
To compliment RML’s high-performance engineering capabilities we have grown our manufacturing facilities and resources to enable the low to mid-volume manufacturing of our creations. Manufacturing from component level to complete vehicle on one campus, allowing for efficient processes and quality control. Following exacting OEM standards our capabilities include fabrication, machining, composite bonding and trimming, HV and LV electronics, harnesses, sub-assembly, paint and finishing. Providing a single source solution for prototype through to production vehicle manufacturing, testing and validation.
