Babcock boosts graduate and apprentice recruitment with record intake

Babcock has announced a record intake of early-career talent for 2025, recruiting 500 apprentices and 250 graduates across its UK operations.
 
Roles span traditional engineering trades such as welding, fabrication and mechanical/electrical fitting, as well as digital disciplines including data analytics and digital manufacturing, underlining continued demand for both hands-on and high-tech skills across the UK engineering and defence sectors.
 
This aligns closely with Advanced Engineering’s #MindTheSkillsGap initiative, which champions exactly this kind of long-term investment in future skills and supports collaboration between industry, academia and training providers to build a resilient engineering talent pipeline.
