About us
Despite common belief, our name doesn't stand for 2 Kilometres - it originates from the German 2 Komponenten Maschinenbau (Two Component Engineering), though you can simply call us 2KMUK. Originally founded in Germany in 1976, we expanded across the pond to launch our UK operations in 1998.
In 2021, we transitioned into a standalone entity. Today, our team fully designs and manufactures a streamlined product range in Bromsgrove UK, continuing our momentum following the 2025 retirement of UK founder and Managing Director Rob McLaren.
From advanced 2K systems to versatile 1K solutions and decanting equipment, 2KM delivers accuracy at every stage.
As a UK market leader, 2KM specialises in the design and supply of two-component machines for the precise metering and dispensing of reactive materials including polyurethanes, epoxies, and silicones.
But our expertise doesn't stop there. We also provide high-performance solutions for single-component adhesives and resins, supporting industries from automotive and electronics to medical and composite manufacturing.
Complementing our dispensing technology, our decanting systems offer a cost-effective way to repackage materials from bulk into retail-ready formats - giving you greater efficiency, flexibility, and control across your entire production process.
