The full customisation service includes in-house military packaging design capability. MSA Foams is MPAS accredited to design and manufacture military level packaging, which is designed to Defstan 81-41, with close MOD liaison.

Custom Foam for Tool Control
MSA have extensive experience in the automotive and aerospace sectors designing foam that is engineered for individual tool kits. Bespoke foam optimises the space efficiently and using coloured foam, ensures missing items are easily identified, eliminating the risk of Foreign Object Damage (F.O.D.). Custom foam is highly durable, ensuring the contents are secured in place and fully protected.
MPAS Accreditation
MPAS (Military Packaging Approval Scheme) MSA Foams have received the MPAS (Military Packaging Approval Scheme) accreditation to design and manufacture military packaging. MPAS ensures that Military Level Packaging meets the MoD requirements for safe handling, storage and transportation etc., within the military supply chain in a cost effective manner. The accreditation is awarded following a rigorous training scheme; the process includes the certification of individual designers and the registration of organisations to ensure they have the desired competencies to manufacture military level packaging. MSA’s Senior Designers are now certified to authorise SPIS designs for Military level packaging, as supplied to the MOD under Defence standard 81 – 41, DEFCON 129 and the Defence Logistics Framework (DLF). In addition to the ISO standard, MPAS certification verifies that MSA Foams, as a manufacturer, has the capabilities to produce suitable military level packaging for the particular requirement. It demands an in depth knowledge of Defence standard 81-41.
Case customisation
MSA Foams Ltd worked in partnership with branding designers, Whiteroom on a unique product presentation for Red Bull Racing. The Peli 1500 protector case was chosen as the perfect vessel for showcasing limited edition New Era baseball caps. Fuelled by a shared ethos of high performance and pushing the limits, Red Bull Racing sought a presentation solution the epitomized excellence. Tasked with delivering a premium display, the project team turned to the rugged reliability of the Peli 1500 case. Renowned for its durability and rugged construction, the Peli case was the ideal choice. To further elevate the presentation, the Peli team partnered with MSA Foams, utilising their expertise in striking branding and foam customisation. Under the creative of guidance of Whiteroom agency, the case was transformed by MSA Foams. It was digitally printed with the vibrant Red Bull graphics across its entirety, ensuring an undeniable wow factor. The tailor-made foam insert was meticulously engineered to cradle each New Era cap with precision, enhancing both presentation and protection. The collaboration resulted in a presentation solution that embodied the spirit of adventure and performance, setting a new standard in presentation excellence.
