Investment in cutting-edge equipment has increased productivity to meet demand for its products from sectors such as medical, aerospace and entertainment. Fact: cabling produced inside Nicab's premises at Silverstone Park is used to power and light up Las Vegas's spectacular Sphere building. Nicab is also winning awards for its development in skills with young people and for the way it cares about its staff.

Dumarey Green Power
Innovative flywheel technology designed, developed and assembled inside cleantech specialist Dumarey Green Power's premises at Silverstone Park for industrial applications is having a significant positive impact on wider society, especially the environment. This technology - flywheel energy storage systems derived from a Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS) originally developed for Formula 1 racing - powers applications such as major construction sites (e.g. HS2, Hinkley Point C and the recent London Olympia refurbishment); medical industry (MRI and CT scanners); mining and quarrying (concrete batching plants and crushing equipment) as well as renewable energy with wind turbines (130 turbines in Northern Ireland alone). It is estimated the technology has now saved industry more than 6.5 million litres of diesel being burnt (preventing 20 million kg in CO2 emissions). This saving is more than double the equivalent amount of all fuel consumed by all cars in every Formula 1 race since the start of the F1 World Championship in 1950 at Silverstone. Dumarey Green Power occupies two premises at Silverstone Park totalling 10,000 sq ft and employs 40 people, many of them mechanical and electrical engineers.

FF Corse
Silverstone Park is a natural home for a number of businesses operating in motorsport - these are either race teams themselves or part of the industry supply chain, particularly in areas such as engineering and manufacturing. These companies operate at the highest levels of motorsport including F1, World Rally, Le Mans 24hrs and Formula E - (three of the 11 teams in Formula E, the world's premier electric car racing category, now have bases at Silverstone Park, namely Envision, Kiro and Lola). Pictured is a Ferrari 296 which FF Corse - one of two specialist Ferrari race teams based at Silverstone Park (the other is AF Corse) - will race in 2025's British GT Championship. Notably, many companies at Silverstone Park have their experiences and innovative thinking in the demanding world of motorsport to collaborate and successfully diversify into and win new business in other sectors such as aerospace, automotive, defence, marine and space.
