About us

High accuracy robot metrology and End of Arm Tooling technology, focussed on aerospace and high value manufacturing

True Position Robotics (TPR) is a UK engineering company specialising in high-accuracy robotic automation for aerospace and high-value manufacturing. Founded in 2018 and based in Nottingham, TPR combines precision measurement, intelligent robot guidance and specialist tooling to help manufacturers improve accuracy, increase productivity and reduce waste.

At the heart of its technology is Adaptive Robot Control plus (ARC+), which combines optical measurement, digital twins and machine learning to guide robots accurately during manufacturing. By connecting a virtual manufacturing model with the physical robot, TPR helps ensure that movements and operations align with the intended design. Its guidance technology supports absolute positioning accuracy of ±0.1 mm, enabling demanding drilling and countersinking applications.

TPR’s capabilities cover three key areas:

Robot guidance: High-accuracy optical guidance for precise, repeatable positioning across large working volumes.

Robotic drilling and countersinking: Specialist end-of-arm tooling and adaptive control for demanding aerospace manufacturing requirements.

Robotic 3D inspection: Automated geometric measurement for checking components during production and validating finished work.

TPR integrates measurement into the manufacturing process, helping manufacturers identify and control deviations as work takes place. Its systems can also use automatic tool changes to perform drilling and 3D geometric inspection with the same robot, supporting more efficient use of equipment and energy.

With a focus on reducing scrap, rework and wasted resources, True Position Robotics helps manufacturers build more precise, efficient and sustainable production processes. Its approach brings robot guidance, drilling, countersinking and inspection together, while sharing manufacturing data with operations and design teams to support better decisions.
