Vision Engineering launches EVO Cam AURA, the next generation of its industry-leading digital microscope range

4K imaging and a fully integrated inspection toolset succeed the best-selling EVO Cam II, giving quality and production teams sharper detail, faster set-up and audit-ready documentation in one system

Vision Engineering launches EVO Cam AURA, its next-generation 4K digital microscope

Send, Surrey, UK — 14 September 2026 — Vision Engineering Ltd has launched EVO Cam AURA, a new digital microscope for industrial inspection, quality control and lab analysis. It replaces the best-selling EVO Cam II, which became an industry standard in electronics, automotive, aerospace, medical device and research work.

AURA moves the range from Full HD to true 4K imaging. It picks up fine detail such as hairline cracks, contamination and pad geometry. Optical zoom means operators don't need to change lenses, and autofocus and focus stacking bring uneven or complex parts into sharp focus.

The biggest change is AURA software, which puts zoom, focus, lighting, capture, measurement and analysis in one interface. Auto-recognition keeps magnification and measurement scaling correct, and lighting recall restores settings. Live images can also be compared with a golden sample. Supervisor Mode locks critical settings, and presets can be shared across sites. Comparison modes and go/no-go overlays make inspection faster. Images automatically include annotations, measurements, metadata and timestamps, so records are ready for audits.

There are three models: 4K Touch, 4K and HD. Each comes in a Secure version for sites where wireless, Bluetooth or removable storage isn't allowed. AURA works on its own without a PC, connects over Wi-Fi or LAN and supports live streaming. An optional Oblique and Direct Viewer (ODV) allows inspection at an angle.

Managing Director Sam Crossley said AURA builds on the legacy of EVO Cam II. It keeps the simplicity and reliability users depend on and adds better imaging and a fully integrated toolset for today's production environments.

EVO Cam AURA is available worldwide now from Vision Engineering and its authorised distributors. EVO Cam II customers can ask their local branch or distributor about upgrade options.
