The Longbow Speedster
The Longbow Speedster
The Longbow Speedster is a British-built electric sports car weighing 895 kg, some 36 per cent lighter than a Lotus Emira.
It uses Longbow's Centre Axis Architecture, a bonded aluminium platform developed from the ground up rather than adapted from a skateboard layout. Mass is concentrated along the spine of the car, giving a low centre of gravity and, more significantly for how it drives, a low centre of inertia.
The 800V battery system achieves over 220 Wh/kg at pack level. Every tier one partner on the programme is British, drawn from the Motorsport Valley supply chain.
The vehicle is engineered from the first drawing to be serviced and maintained over a century under Longbow's Centurion Accords, including published service information and module level repairability.
Production is limited to 150 numbered examples, hand built in the UK.
