HyProMag are the first UK manufacturer of permanent magnets for over 20 years. Using the patented hydrogen decrepitation technology from the University of Birmingham, we can recycle permanent magnets that are embedded in components that would traditionally be lost in the scrapping process. We then have a commercial grade facility to remanufacture this material in to new permanent magnets that have been proven to have the same properties and performance characteristics as new product.
HyProMag offer a short recycling loop that takes end of life or production scrap magnets and magnet containing components and converts them to a powder that can be used to make a new magnet. With a much quicker and more environmentally friendly process than traditional recycling methods, HyProMag offer an alternative to existing markets as well as the ability to efficiently recover these critical materials from components that would otherwise be scrapped.
Offering NdFeB powder, block and magnets from our process means we can support the different parts of the permanent magnet ecosystems to allow a variety of users within the industry to make the switch to recycled materials.
