REACT UK - Rare Earth Automotive Circular Technologies for the UK
HyProMag are proud to announce the launch of ๐ฅ๐๐๐๐ง ๐จ๐, a major new collaborative project to establish a fully circular UK supply chain for rare earth magnets used in automotive applications.
Grant funding is provided by UK Government as part of the ยฃ4 billion DRIVE35 programme, delivered by the Department for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade in partnership with the Advanced Propulsion Centre UK (APC) and Innovate UK.
REACT-UK brings together a strong UK consortium led by HyProMag Ltd alongside JLR, Mkango Rare Earths UK, LESS COMMON METALS LIMITED, EMR Group UK and the University of Birmingham to recover, recycle and remanufacture neodymium iron boron magnets from end of life hybrid and electric vehicles. By combining advanced recycling routes and innovative hydrogen-based processing, the project will deliver high performance automotive magnet grades while improving sustainability, resilience and security of supply.
