    2. AirBench VertEx Cross-draught Booths

      AirBench VertEx Cross-draught Booths

VertEx cross-draught extraction systems are modular walls of extraction. Dust or fumes are drawn in through the perforated front panels into internal filters, selected to suit the application. Contaminants are removed from the airstream and filtered air is returned to the workspace. VertEx systems being modular can start from a single 1200×600 extracted face with no upper limit to the size of the cross-draught system. With our modular VertEx Booth system we can create walk-in dust and fume extraction booths large enough for any application. By specifying alternative filter sets VertEx systems can be configured as a sanding booth for wood and similar dusts, a grinding booth for metal work, or a fume extraction booth with carbon filtration.

    3. Almbrite™

      Almbrite™

Additive layer manufacturing (ALM) uses various techniques to construct a three-dimensional object including extrusion and laser sintering based processes. Fine metal powders are deposited on top of a build platform and the energy beam is used to melt the shape of the desired component, the process then proceeds with a new layer of powder which is subsequently melted, such that the component is built up in a layer-by-layer fashion. Now abbreviated to just AM, there has been increasing demand for a post manufacturing process that smooths the surface in a practical, easy and cost-effective way. Mechanically smoothing the surface by blasting, rumbling or polishing are ways of doing this. However, they require line of sight or direct access to the parts surface. Almbrite™ is a chemical immersion process, designed to modify and enhance the surface of additive manufactured parts, by removing foreign object debris (FOD), as well as smoothing and brightening the surface. The process can be used on parts of any geometry. A very significant and key advantage is that it is also perfect for internal configurations where high-quality surface finishes are achieved. Mechanical, chemical and environmental advantages include: • Can be used to treat both laser and electron beam powder bed additive components. • Fatigue strength increases in the region of 75%. • Does not promote hydrogen embrittlement. • Achieves a roughness of below 3.2Ra • Produces an even Ra regardless of geometry and complexity. • Enhances detail definition. • Complies with environmental regulations, including REACh • A cost-effective process in comparison to a mechanical option. • Does not use Hydrofluoric Acid (A very nasty acid!). • A very controlled and repeatable process. • Effective removal of contamination, surface powder and foreign object debris (FOD). • Enables NDT methods to be used. • Improves surface related functionality – e.g. for post machining op’s. • Improves aesthetics.

    4. Aluminium Honeycomb

      Aluminium Honeycomb

The aluminum honeycomb is light, resistant to compression and cuts, has excellent fire reaction (incombustibility) performaces and resists to corrosion, mould and it is recyclable. Aluminium honeycomb as panels’ core has several advantages: lightweight stiffness good fire reaction compression, shear and corrosion resistance flatness As core material, aluminium honeycomb is used in sandwich panels and it is utilised in: floors, roofs, doors, partitions, facades, working surfaces for automatic machines, laser jet cutting and for all products which require an optimal stiffness-to-weight-ratio. Aluminium honeycomb is used for several of applications (i.e. for tool machines, for serigraphy..etc.) and in different sectors such as: public transport industry, nautical sector, building industry, etc... It is used as deflector for laminar flow-ventilation, and as crash-absorber for kinetic energy. The aluminum honeycomb has passed several fire reaction tests: it was considered incombustible according to the FTP Code 2010, obtaining the IMO Med, Mod B and D. certification, the A1 for building according to the 13501-1 standard , and the M0 according to the French standard NF-P 92-501-1995. Certified version Aluminium honeycomb must be required while asking for a quotation and might have a price surcharge due to certified materials.
