Athena Blue Innovation Returns to Design and Manufacture the 2026 Composites UK Awards
Athena Blue Innovation has again been commissioned to design and manufacture the Composites UK Awards trophies for the 2026 ceremony on 4 November 2026 at the National Motorcycle Museum, Birmingham, following the success of the 2025 awards.
Continuing the move away from traditional glass awards, this year’s trophies will once again showcase the possibilities of advanced composite materials, featuring a unique combination of glass fibre, carbon fibre, natural flax fibres and tooling board. The design reflects the innovation, creativity and sustainable thinking at the heart of the UK composites industry.
The awards are being produced primarily using Athena Blue Innovation’s in-house materials and expertise, with selected contributions from fellow Composites UK member companies – PRF Composite Materials, Base Materials and SHD Composites - highlighting the collaborative nature and collective strength of the UK composites sector.
Peter Quigley, Co-Founder of Athena Blue Innovation and Composites UK Board Director, said: "Following the fantastic response to last year’s awards, we are delighted to continue our collaboration with Composites UK for 2026. These trophies represent more than just a celebration of achievement, they are a showcase of the incredible materials, innovation and craftsmanship that exist within our industry. It is a privilege to create something that will be presented to the organisations and individuals helping to shape the future of composites."
Claire Whysall, Communications and Marketing Manager at Composites UK, added: "The 2025 awards demonstrated just how special these bespoke composite trophies are, and we are thrilled to continue working with Athena Blue Innovation for 2026. The awards are a fitting reflection of our sector - innovative, collaborative and forward-thinking - and we look forward to presenting them to this year’s winners in November."
Ten winners will receive the bespoke composite awards at the Composites UK Awards ceremony on 4 November 2026, celebrating excellence, innovation and achievement from across the UK composites industry.
