Now in its 3rd generation, Mantis is used at tens of thousands of R&D, manufacturing and analytical sites around the world. Mantis 3rd Gen brings together the latest developments in optics, digital cameras and fully adjustable LED lighting to keep Mantis at the forefront of stereo imaging.

At its heart is Vision Engineering's unique eyepiece-less technology. Instead of peering through eyepieces, operators view a large, bright 3D image in a natural, upright posture, with freedom of head movement and full compatibility with glasses. Dynamic View Optics let users look around their subject simply by moving their head, while the long working distance leaves plenty of room for tools and hands. The result is excellent depth perception, better hand-eye coordination and less fatigue over long shifts.

The range now includes three models: Mantis ERGO for optical viewing, Mantis IOTA with quick-change lenses, and Mantis PIXO with an integrated camera. Magnification runs from 3x to 15x, with super long working distance options, making Mantis ideal for tasks from PCB inspection and soldering to medical device assembly, precision engineering and plastics moulding. Five illumination modes come as standard, including dynamic 3D LED, transmitted, white/UV and pseudo dark-field lighting, so you can adjust the light to get the perfect image every time.

Mantis PIXO combines optical and digital technologies, creating perfect synergy between the stereo view and a high-resolution 5MP camera. Capture, review and share detailed images and video for traceability, collaboration and training. Add text, shapes, arrows or digital overlays, take on-screen measurements, and compare live images with targets or pre-set guides.
