Behind the booth: Stories from the Show Floor – meet Ben Robinson, Marketing Manager at Cristex Composite Materials

London, 18//10/23

  1. What motivated your company to participate in this year’s Advanced Engineering UK event?

We’re long-time exhibitors at the AE, having been exhibiting for roughly 7 years. It’s a great opportunity to meet up with colleagues, old & new. And of course, showcase what we’ve been working on over the past 12 month, with a sneak peek into some future projects!. We’ve got some exciting collaborations in store for the show, so make sure to keep an eye out for stand X160!

  1. Can you provide a sneak peek into the solutions you’ll showcase at the event?

We’ll be showcasing some of the most high-performance Fibres and fabrics in the composite market.

  1. Are there any industry-specific challenges or opportunities in the UK market that your products or solutions address?

Our in-house services offer customers a wide range of solutions in the UK market. For example, our cutting & kitting services help businesses save time, reduce operational costs, and optimize material usage.

  1. How does your company contribute to sustainability and environmental considerations in the engineering industry?

As a company, we’re always trying to come up with new solutions to contribute in a more environmentally friendly way. We offer products such as Flax, which comes with a huge environmental consideration. We also endeavour to ensure our cutting & kitting waste disposal is carbon neutral.

  1. What ongoing efforts does your organisation make to stay at the forefront of technological advancements and maintain a competitive edge in the market?

We’re consistently working with our suppliers to find new solutions and offerings for our customers. We’re also frequently reviewing our services to make sure we’re offering the most up to date support for our customers as possible. Attending the Advanced Engineering allows us gain feedback from colleagues and learn more about what is pushing this industry forward.

  1. What networking opportunities or collaborations are you hoping to explore during your time at the event?

We’re always excited to catch up with old colleagues at the Advanced Engineering, but one of our favourite elements of the show is getting to meet new people and finding out what exciting projects they’re working on. It’s the perfect event for networking with like-minded people and exploring a little bit more about what’s happening in the industry.

  1. Can you highlight any keynote speeches, workshops, or sessions related to your field of expertise that you’re particularly excited about?

The whole composite forum is something we’re particularly excited about. There’s a huge collection of brilliant speakers & sessions set to take place, it’s too difficult to choose just one!
