Starting his career as a mechanical technical apprentice in 1999 with GKN at its Cowes site (Isle of Wight), he had exposure to multiple large aerospace programs both civil and defence. After a move away from engineering, he returned to GKN in 2014, joining the GKN Composites technology team and has subsequently worked on several high-value ATI and European-funded programs of work including LOCOMACHS, VIEWS, Wing of Tomorrow, and now ASCEND, focusing on composites processing for high-rate advanced manufacture.
Now located at GKN’s Global Technology Centre in Bristol, as a Principal Composites Research Engineer, he is the GKN technical lead for the ATI-funded program of work ASCEND, delivering the future of sustainable, automated, and high-rate composite structures for aerospace.
