ADDYX is an innovative company specializing in the development and production of advanced solutions for the manufacture of hollow tubular components made of composite material.
Its mission is to revolutionize manufacturing processes by pushing the limits of traditional technologies and developing auxiliary solutions that make composite materials production more efficient for high-performance industries, including motorsport, automotive, aeronautics and space.
Specifically, Addyx has patented two cutting-edge technologies: the WSM-170, a water-soluble expanding mandrel, and the Carbon Exoskeleton, a spindle with an innovative topologically optimized rib system.
These solutions allow the creation of lighter, more resistant and performing products, responding to the needs of sectors where weight reduction and increased performance are crucial factors. WSM with Rotomolding technology
Rotomolding technology offers significant advantages when compared with other techniques: ❙ the rotomolding technique is easily adapted to short production runs, particularly when sets of multiple-cavity molds are used; ❙ hollow, totally enclosed items as well as pieces with openings can be made; ❙ rotational molding eliminates the need for secondary tooling; ❙ wall thickness and piece weight can be easily controlled; ❙ rotational molding procedures assure uniform wall thickness; ❙ pieces with intricate contours and undercuts can be easily molded; ❙ virtually any size piece can be rotationally molded; ❙ rotational molding yields pieces with excellent surface detail and finish; ❙ identical or similar items or different sections on one piece can be molded at the same time in different colors on a single spindle; ❙ plastic or metal inserts can often be molded as integral parts of the item; and double wall constructions are feasible.
