Products

ELC Premiumcut Cutting Machine
Latest generation of our composites cutting machines, the ELC Premiumcut cutter. This machine can be equipped with range of tools: Oscillating knife, driven pizza wheel, drag knife and also with different marking tools: pen, spray, labelling device and inkjet printer. This machine can achieve 120m/minute linear speed and up to 2g acceleration of the cutting head. We can also provide driven unwidning units, for material rolls up to 800kg and with automated material handling and feeding features. We work with established robots manufacturers, in order to achieve streamlined composites parts off loading and sorting and even composites parts building. Our cutting machines are cutting materials for different applications from automotive, wind turbines, tidal turbines, F1 cars, insulaton, bullet proof application and many more.

Laser projection and DTEC PRO camera
DTEC-PRO IR flash illuminates area with targets to accelerate calibrationimage of DTEC-PRO illuminating a group of targets A combination of a circular flashlight and a camera detects reflecting targets and forwards their positions to the PRO-SOFT software - invisibly, as the flash works in the infrared spectrum. One DTEC-PRO may cover the area of several projectors and identify multiple tools or molds. Tools known to the system will be identified and then calibrated automatically. Manually targeting of each reflector will be obsolete. Depending on configuration and workflow, you may reduce the calibration time to a mere minimum: if you, for example, needed around 120 seconds to calibrate an easy to grasp tool with 6 targets, the automated calibration may take only some 6 seconds. More than 90% saved time, multiplied by number of work places, tools and/or several runs a day? The benefits should be obvious.

Procut 8001 Multi ply cutting machine
Procut 8001 is a multiply cutting machine, capable of cutting up to 8cm of compressed layers of composites, depending on the material characteristics and matrial thickness. This cutting machine is a perfect solution for mass-production of composites parts, be it carbbon fibre, glass fibre or Kevlar.

Turbocut 2501 Multi ply cutting machine
Turbocut is a multiply cutting machine, capable of cutting up to 2.5cm thick layers of composites, depending on the material characteristics. This cutting machine is a perfect solution for mass-production of composites parts, be it carbon fibre, glass fibre or Kevlar.

LAP Laser Line, Cross and Point lasers
LAP industrial line laser are used to show working lines or edges for alignment and positioning. They can be used to display lines where material has to be cut, folded, glued, welded or just positionned. LAP cross laser show working points or right-angled stops. They mark the point where a tool will start working, or an angle for alignment in two directions, like the corner of an object.

Robotics integration with Bullmer cutting machines
We can deliver Robotics integration and automated manufacturing lines with Bullmer cutting machines, with material handling and off load and composites parts placement and build up.

Material Roll handling unit for rolls up to 500kg
The Transroll is a flexible fabric roll transport and storing system with an automatic roll changer system for direct installation at a cutters front end. It is combined with either a bullmer spreading machine, a cradle, or a cradle installed in front of a cutter, especially for single ply cutting. The functional interlinking of this system combination ensures automatic work flow from roll provision, through automatically programmed roll change, to fabric spreading and cutting. Remarkably, only one person is required to operate the entire system with the components and processes described. Due to the combination of a number of different work sequences – a continuous automatic process with roll mounting/roll provision/roll feeding for spreading or cutting/ unrolling/roll rewinding to storage – the Transroll enables significant savings in time and thus improves the cost effectiveness of the process chain. The more frequently the roll is changed and the smaller the number of cut-outs per fabric roll, the greater the time savings and consequently the greater the cost effectiveness of the Transroll.

Optitex CAD software with Nesting and 3D to 2D unwrapping
Optitex 2D and 3D software with powerfull Nesting capabilities. 2D suite delivers fast results in pattern creation, chnages and manipulation. Nesting solution can improve material utilisation by up to 10% . 3D module is capable of unwrapping the 3D surface information into the 2D patterns for production purposes.

Assyst Bullmer are proud to announce that we will participate in the ASCEND project with GKN and Partners
GKN Aerospace is leading a new UK industry consortium called ASCEND (Aerospace and Automotive Supply Chain Enabled Development) to develop and accelerate composite material and process technologies for the next generation of energy efficient aircraft and future mobility. The £40m consortium, funded by a £20.0M commitment from industry and a £19.6M commitment from the UK Government via ATI, will focus on greater adoption of composite technologies today, the industrialization of new technologies, as well as accelerating aerospace production rates to meet future high-volume requirements. The collaboration will help develop technologies from across the UK supply-chain to develop the advanced materials and automation equipment required to manufacture lightweight structures for the sustainable air mobility, aerospace and automotive industry. Assyst Bullmer, Airborne, Cobham Mission Systems Wimborne, Cygnet Texkimp, Des Composites, FAR-UK Ltd, Hexcel Composites, Hive Composites, LMAT, Loop Technology, McLaren Automotive, the National Composites Centre, Rafinex, Sigmatex (UK) and Solvay Composite Materials will join GKN Aerospace in the consortium with collaboration and investment support from Axillium Research. Through a 3-year commitment, the partnership, backed by the UK government, will bring together expertise, capabilities and resources from across the wider UK aerospace and automotive supply chain. In doing so, ASCEND will strengthen the UK’s position as a technology leader in future lightweight structures and help to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions in the aerospace and automotive industry.
