Sandwich panel Compocel AL
COMPOCEL® AL is a sandwich panel with a core in aluminium honeycomb bonded to two skins of aluminium. A panel entirely in aluminum. It offers high mechanical properties, perfect when high rigidity and a low weight are required. Being a panel made of 95% aluminum, the fire reaction properties meet the reference standards for numerous applications.COMPOCEL AL panel is used in countless sectors: building to shipbuilding, from railways to interiors, from cabins to lifts etc .... Customers can customize the panel according to their needs as it is a 100% customizable product.COMPOCEL AL finishes are selected carefully for indoor and outdoor applications; high quality polymeric paint such as PVDF and FEVE are available on request. CEL offers various surface treatments, in order to resist to heat peaks and temperatures. COMPOCEL® AL FR offers superior mechanical properties and excellent fire ratings. COMPOCEL® AL FR has passed the most stringent tests of European Regulation as far as fire reaction is concerned in shipbuilding, building and railway sectors. Our panels are produced according to the needs of our clients, who determine size and other panel characteristics. Panel for false ceilings and ventilated facades, in class A2, therefore non-combustible. Thanks to special assembly techniques, COMPOCEL AL ® FR A2 meets the requirements of the UNI-EN 13501-1 standard. Mod B. and D according to the IMO MED FTP CODE 2010, HL3 according to the UNI EN 45545-2 standard for R1, R2, R10 applications.

Aluminium Honeycomb
The aluminum honeycomb is light, resistant to compression and cuts, has excellent fire reaction (incombustibility) performaces and resists to corrosion, mould and it is recyclable. Aluminium honeycomb as panels’ core has several advantages: lightweight stiffness good fire reaction compression, shear and corrosion resistance flatness As core material, aluminium honeycomb is used in sandwich panels and it is utilised in: floors, roofs, doors, partitions, facades, working surfaces for automatic machines, laser jet cutting and for all products which require an optimal stiffness-to-weight-ratio. Aluminium honeycomb is used for several of applications (i.e. for tool machines, for serigraphy..etc.) and in different sectors such as: public transport industry, nautical sector, building industry, etc... It is used as deflector for laminar flow-ventilation, and as crash-absorber for kinetic energy. The aluminum honeycomb has passed several fire reaction tests: it was considered incombustible according to the FTP Code 2010, obtaining the IMO Med, Mod B and D. certification, the A1 for building according to the 13501-1 standard , and the M0 according to the French standard NF-P 92-501-1995. Certified version Aluminium honeycomb must be required while asking for a quotation and might have a price surcharge due to certified materials.

PMI
PMI (polymethacrylimide) foam is specially developed for use as a structural core in connection with vacuum infusion processes. It is applied in components of aviation, aerospace, sports equipment with resininjection process to reduce the weight. PMI core makes it possible to produce sandwich components in a single step (co-curing), resulting in reduced overall production time. It is highly suitable with autoclave technologies and vacuum infusion processes, including RTM (Resin Transfer Moulding) and VARTM (Vacuum Assisted Resin transfer moulding) processes. Its cell size is small, achieves an optimal compromise between low resin absorption and satisfactory bonding of the facings to the core. Processing and production PMI is especially suitable for vacuum infusion and RTM processes due to its optimized cell structure, where it can be used at temperature up to 180°C with pressure up to 0.7 MPa after heat treatment. Thermoforming and shaping PMI can be easily thermoformed or CNC machined to meet customers’ requirements, bringing tremendous manufacturing advantages. High precision, pre-shaped and ready-to-use foam cores in complex or simple geometries can also be supplied by the Machining Department.

Sandwich Panel Alustep F
ALUSTEP® F is a lightweight sandwich panel with a core in aluminium honeycomb with two external layers in fibreglass reinforced with phenolic resin. Thanks to the low flammability of phenolic resin, this panel has a certified version which is used in shipyards, trains and transport in general. Alustep F has obtained the IMO MED certification Mod. B and D for shipbuilding sector and HL3 for R10 and HL2 for R1, R1 in the railway sector.

Sandwich Panel Alustep FN
ALUSTEP® FN is a lightweight sandwich panel with a core in aramid paper and skins in glass fibre reinforced with phenolic resin. This panel offers unique characteristics since it combines lightweight with high mechanical properties. Thanks to the low flammability of phenolic resin, the certified version of this panel can be used in shipyards, trains and transport in general.

Alustep 500
ALUSTEP® 500 is a sandwich panel with a core in aluminum honeycomb faced with fibreglass impregnated with epoxy resin. The application of ALUSTEP SERIES’ panels permits huge savings as far as weight and thickness of slabs of natural stones, such as marbles and granite and mosaics are concerned. With the reduction of material and weight, material, logistics and installation costs can be significantly reduced.

Compocel W - Sandwich Panel

Alustep HFR
Alustep® HFR is a sandwich panel composed of a honeycomb aluminium core and two fiberglass skins impregnated with epoxy resin. It is the most robust of the Alustep® series panels has good fire reaction properties. IMO MED certification is one of the strengths of the HFR Sandwich Panel. In fact, it achieved Mod. B and D and the US Coast Guard. This means that the product has been rigorously tested and approved to the highest standards set by the International Maritime Organization (IMO), ensuring compliance with fire reaction regulations for ships and vessels.
