High Strain Rate VHS Systems
Many materials exhibit different behaviors under various strain rates, i.e. they have strain rate dependent properties. Characterizing these dynamic properties across a wide range of velocities becomes very important in applications where components are exposed to high strain rates, especially on investigating material failure and also identifying the most optimal design for weight. High strain rate testing machines have helped industries to predict material behavior, which in turn helps the design of many components that are exposed to high strain rates during its life cycle. Whether it is in the landing gear on aircraft, the crash impact of a road vehicle or even the cord strings when a parachute is opened, all of these examples involve one or more components of a product that are subjected to high strain rate impact. PTC Contact Heaters of the HP series are dynamic heating elements for precise heating of solids and liquid containers. They consist of a contacted PTC heating element pressed into an aluminum profile. The aluminum profile features a flat design and mounting holes on the outer profile surface which allows for flexible installation and optimum heat transfer. PTC Contact Heaters of the HP series are available in four versions with maximum surface temperatures ranging from 80°C to 200°C, suitable for a voltage range of 12 - 24V or 100 - 240V AC or DC (multi-voltage capable). PTC Contact Heaters come with all advantages of the PTC heating technology. Thanks to the PTC effect, the heating elements dynamically adjust their power without exceeding a maximum temperature. ICBP® NANO - MULTI CHAMBER FURNACES : COMPACT CONCEPT
The ICBP® Nano composes one module with 3 stacked up heating cells (it can be extended to 6 heating cells, corresponding to 2 heating modules) and a gas quenching cell to cool the pieces. The carburizing cells are stacked up to reduce the footprint’s installation as much as possible. Inclinometers and Tilt Sensors
An inclinometer is a sensor used for measuring angles, mainly for tilt, slope or elevation of an object with respect to gravity. They are known by several names such as tilt sensor, inclinometer or even pitch & roll indicator. The most common inclinometer is for measuring single axis X or dual axis X & Y axis however on request, the Z axis can be measured using a separate device. All incorporate the latest high-performance MEMs sensing technology and are further enhanced with internal compensation circuitry for high accuracy performance and long-term stability. The only other consideration should be the output required. Current outputs (4-20mA) can be used for long transmissions up to 2000 metres. Analogue outputs are most common having 0-5, 0-10V, 0.5-4.5V or even +/-5 or 10V. Digital output version are available such as RS-232, RS-485, TTL, PWM and CAN.
