    1. RP800 50°C epoxy tooling prepreg system

RP800 50°C epoxy tooling prepreg system

Providing the exceptional quality of PRF’s RP802 Overnight cure, this new system has a 8 hour cure at 50°C and an out life of 5 days at 20°C. Managing Director, Robert Burnell comments: “We are delighted to be adding RP800 to our range of tooling systems, which have received outstanding customer feedback - particularly in terms of the quality of the surface finish in the tool, even after repeated mouldings. This new product provides an additional option for customers requiring improved dimensional accuracy of the finished tool.” The system is in manufacture on a range of PRF’s high quality tooling fabrics.

    2. RP802 Overnight Cure Epoxy Tooling Prepreg System

RP802 Overnight Cure Epoxy Tooling Prepreg System

Curing in 16 hours at 60°C or 8 hours at 70°C, RP802 Overnight Cure has a tack life of 10 days at 20°C and a Tg of 190°C DSC after post cure. We’re receiving great customer feedback on the system’s handling characteristics, excellent surface finish and the significant advantages the extended tack life provides: tools can be made quicker and more efficiently - making it easier for constructors to manage the build. With flexibility in mind, we have also developed a full range of tooling systems, providing options on cure temperature and time to suit manufacturing requirements including RP800 - our new 50°C tooling system.

    3. RS6780

      RS6780

The FLIR RS6780 offers advanced detector, triggering, and synchronization capabilities in an environmentally protected package, making it easy to configure and integrate for successful data acquisition in the most demanding R&D applications. With a three-position motorized filter wheel and continuous metric zoom (CZ) lens, the RS6780 records sharply focused, high-quality thermal images in long-range and tracking applications. The standard 50-250 mm CZ lens can be factory-calibrated for temperature and radiance measurements, allowing researchers to use the radiometric camera system without sacrificing the flexibility of the optics platform.

    4. SAF 3D Printer

      SAF 3D Printer

Selective Absorption Fusion (SAF) 3D printers use a counter-rotating roller to coat powder layers onto a print bed where high energy-absorption HAF fluid is selectively jetted to image the part layers. Industrial piezo-electric print heads jet single or multiple droplets of fluid according to the part requirement for fine detail or large areas. Using infrared energy radiated from an IR lamp, the imaged layers and underlying particles are fused across the span of the print-bed.

    5. Sandwich panel Compocel AL

      Sandwich panel Compocel AL

COMPOCEL® AL is a sandwich panel with a core in aluminium honeycomb bonded to two skins of aluminium. A panel entirely in aluminum. It offers high mechanical properties, perfect when high rigidity and a low weight are required. Being a panel made of 95% aluminum, the fire reaction properties meet the reference standards for numerous applications.COMPOCEL AL panel is used in countless sectors: building to shipbuilding, from railways to interiors, from cabins to lifts etc .... SEA membership information pack

The SEA represents the entire surface engineering and finishing sector, working with members who provide valuable services to this key sector. Because your SEA executive team works closely with parliament and is represented on key committees and working groups in the UK and EU, involved in the issues that affect our industry such as legislation, standards and codes of practice, we are well placed to ensure that our views and those of our members are heard at the right level. New or amended legislation on such matters as health and safety or environmental issues can have a major impact on our industry. By being ‘on the inside’ we are the first to know of the changes that will affect us all. Our close involvement with relevant bodies in the UK and EU enables us to keep our members informed.
