As the market leader for innovative retaining ring solutions, Smalley has been continually investing in ongoing research and development to meet the demand for high RPM requirements. Smalley's latest retaining ring innovation, the revolutionary Revolox Self-Locking Ring, features a 'dimple and slot' design that safely and efficiently secures your application at high speeds. The top five advantages of Revolox Self-Locking Ring include: โœ” Significantly higher RPM capacity over an equivalent non-locking retaining ring Revolox Self-Locking Rings were tested and optimized for superior and secure high RPM performance. Contact Smalley Engineers to discuss RPM capabilities in your application. โœ” Ease of installation The sturdy 'dimple and slot' design is not easily damaged during installation. โœ” Lightweight With a part weight approximately half the weight of a typical retaining ring, the lower part weight reduces rotating mass and therefore increases efficiency in the application. โœ” Automated installation capabilities Automated installation capabilities make Revolox Self-Locking Rings an ideal solution for high production volumes. โœ” Inherently better-balanced than snap rings Revolox Self-Locking Rings have an inherently better-balanced design that helps decrease vibration. As always, our AFC Europe engineering team can assist you. Come to our stand and find out more!

    2. Smart Composites Enhanced by MicroSensors

      Smart Composites Enhanced by MicroSensors

By embedding RVmagnetics MicroWire technology to the composite - precise measurements of e.g. temperature in of each layer can be obtained during the composite decking process. Allows one to distinguish whether the delamination or cracks occur during or after the decking process of layers inside composites. For the manufacturers RVmagnetics technology allows the production of the same quality composite with less material costs (layers and epoxides). Smart composite also enables its user to real-time monitor the condition and performance of equipment during the operation (structural health monitoring) and helps to reduce the likelihood of material failure. It attempts to keep low costs by reducing the frequency of maintenance tasks, reducing preventive and reactive maintenance with the predictive one.

    4. Smart Electric Motor

      Smart Electric Motor

MicroWire technology brings advanced monitoring capabilities to electric motors, enabling data collection without physical contact. By tracking magnetic field strength distribution, the system captures essential information about motor performance. The passive MicroWire is installed inside the motor chassis, positioned between the coils where magnetic fields are neutralized. This configuration supports real-time data collection, including temperature, motor speed, and output, recorded up to 10,000 times per second. The MicroWire requires no power wiring, making it compact and ideal for space-limited electric motors. Only the sensing head, placed within 10 cm of the MicroWire, requires power. The system also determines rotor position and detects faults instantly. Despite being a magnetic sensor, its measurements remain unaffected by the motorโ€™s electromagnetic fields. RVmagneticsโ€™ MicroWire enhances motor performance, improves efficiency, and extends operational life.

      Smart Worker Interface | DynamxMFG

You cannot manage what you cannot see Most manufacturers have no live view of the shop floor. Jobs appear to be running until suddenly they are late. Time data exists only on paper โ€“ if at all. By the time a problem surfaces, the damage is already done. Operators start and complete jobs with a tap or a scan The Smart Worker Interface runs on any touch screen device โ€“ tablet, dedicated terminal, or shared workstation. Employees log in with their employee number, PIN, or by scanning their QR badge. One tap starts the job. Another completes it. Time records automatically. Scan Station mode lets operators track entirely by QR code โ€“ scan the badge to log in, scan the part to select the job, scan action codes to start, pause, stop, or complete. No typing. No navigation. See every job running over estimate before it becomes a problem Every operation has an estimated time built into the routing. As operators track against it, DynamxMFG compares actual time to estimate in real time. Operations on target show green. Operations running over show red. You see the problem while there is still time to act. The Tracked Allocations view breaks down estimated versus actual time across every active work order โ€“ by operation, by employee, and by routing. Use it in the daily production meeting or pin it to a management screen. Every orderโ€™s status visible across the factory floor The End of Line screen is a large-format live display showing the current status of every work order โ€“ what is being built, what stage it is at, the required-by date, and what is coming next. Configure multiple screens for different departments or production areas. The Employee Monitoring screen shows what each person is working on right now. Managers see utilisation in real time without interrupting the floor. Clocking data is captured separately for attendance and payroll.
