Heat treated and finished machined Inconel 718 Pin Assy - with a shaft length of 450mm long and a Pin head diameter measuring 100mm.

This is an a good example of a cost reduction item where two pieces of inconel 718 have been electron beam welded together to produce a one piece component with parent material characteristics.
Try and visualise the level of swarf that would have been produced if the part had been machined from a single billet of material measuring 125mm in diameter x 465mm long.
