Belotti ARC | Automatic Riveting Cell
Belotti ARC – Automatic Riveting Cell, is a first-on-the-market integrated system, designed in partnership with Cosberg to automatically manage multiple types of Rivets and Time-Sert® with a single device. This new revolutionary robotic cell features an under-patent riveting head designed for the rapid, automated application of the entire range of Time-Sert® inserts and Rivets of different diameters on composite frames and components across multiple industries – including automotive and aerospace – a task traditionally performed manually by the operators. Many parts made of composite materials, including frames, monocoques, doors, roofs, and structural elements for the automotive sector, and wings and various aircraft components, are characterized by thin thicknesses that do not allow for sufficiently strong surfaces to insert fasteners necessary to ensure the assembly of various elements together. Belotti ARC enables a precise application of key elements, ensuring a one-of-a-kind fast, flexible, and under-controlled execution. Main Benefits This new technology represents a significant leap forward in optimizing composite material machining and assembly processes. Main benefits: - One Head, Multiple Inserts: Rivets and Time-Sert® inserts of different diameters are managed automatically by a single device. - Maximum Flexibility & Reachability: the anthropomorphic robot emulates the flexibility of the human wrist, enabling access to even the most challenging areas. - Easy & Intuitive Programming: ISO programming language for seamless operation. - Quality without Compromise: the advanced, fully electronic system enables precise control of all parameters. - Precision under Control: real-time process tracking and feedback for unmatched accuracy. - Redefining Productivity: faster, more flexible, and cost-effective fastening technology.

Electrically conductive thermoplastics
Polymers provide excellent electrical insulation properties. However, this can lead to the accumulation of electrostatic charges and consequently to safety issues for personnel and equipment, especially in explosive environments. LATI modifies the base resins with graphite, carbon black, antistatic polymers, fibres and carbon nanotubes to make LATIOHM and LATISTAT compounds electrically conductive, thereby permitting the adoption of plastic parts, for example, in ATEX environments. LATISHIELD compounds reinforced with steel fibres deliver electrical conductivity and shielding from electromagnetic emissions up to 60 db.

FibreLINE
FibreLINE represents a transformative approach to composite aerostructure manufacturing, offering a true step change for the industry. It is an end-to-end automated preforming system that integrates Zünd’s custom-engineered Q-Line cutter with some of the world’s largest industrial robots. This modular adaptation of the Q-Line cutter provides a scalable, future-proof solution designed to meet the growing demands of the aerospace sector. FibreLINE delivers faster cutting speeds while significantly reducing stray fibers—a common challenge in composite manufacturing. Its benefits extend beyond precision, offering a marked reduction in factory footprint and logistical complexity. The system also streamlines downstream assembly, saving both time and resources. By dramatically increasing material deposition rates, FibreLINE allows manufacturers to operate using a single set of mould tools and tolerances, while still achieving next-generation production targets. This approach reduces the need for shimming and simplifies assembly compared with traditional AFP methods, which require multiple sets of mould tools to match FibreLINE'S production rate. In essence, FibreLINE enables faster, cleaner, and more efficient composite manufacturing, helping aerospace manufacturers meet evolving industry demands with less complexity and greater productivity.

Q.tool recycled
Using our patented Q.tool prepreg tooling technology, we have developed our new prepreg tooling product - Q.tool recycled - which includes recycled carbon replacing 40% of the original virgin fibre content. Q.tool recycled retains all the benefits of our original Q.tool, with improved sustainability. Trials show even more than 50% time saving over standard 1:8:1 carbon tool manufacture, reduced use of plastic consumables, with only 1 debulk required. The system provides exceptional drapeability and surface finish. And at end of life, carbon tools can be recycled – thereby improving circularity and reducing landfill waste. Moulds produced by PRF have been tested by @Green Tech Automotive AC Cars and the results are fantastic! After several cycles, the tools show excellent dimensional stability. They have also been tested for several cycles under pressure to ensure good surface finish and longevity. We found no degradation in the tool surface.

RP570 FR REEPREG
Developed for aircraft interior components, RP570 FR REEPREG is a fire-retardant eXpress cure prepreg material made with recycled carbon fibre nonwoven mat and has a complete processing time of 5 minutes at 160°C. This innovative material combines REEPREG’s class-leading handleability with PRF’s eXpress cure technology and provides a fire-retardant carbon prepreg material that reduces landfill waste, improves circularity, and is highly suited to high volume manufacturing (HVM). Robert Burnell, CEO and Head of Product Development at PRF comments: “RP570 FR REEPREG has been developed specifically with lightweighting in mind, looking at enabling recycled composite materials to be used in aircraft interior programs and other applications requiring FST properties and HVM. Through significant investment in R&D, we have developed a special methodology of impregnation to ensure that once prepregged, REEPREG is easy to handle and press from a flat sheet into a 3D shape. The development of 400gsm REEPREG also enables thickness to be built up very quickly, thereby reducing cost in these applications.” Now in manufacture, RP570 FR REEPREG offers a significant opportunity for composite component constructors, providing a way towards the industry objective of recover, regenerate and reuse.

The smallest passive custom sensor in the world
The smallest passive sensor of physical quantities is based on micro-wires. Contactless measurement of physical quantities (temperature, mechanical stress, torsion, pull, position, magnetic field, and more), uses one interface. Sensors can be mixed in many materials and used in many areas: the Internet of Things, Structural Health Monitoring, Constructions, Biomedical Applications, Preventive and Predictive Maintenance tooling. In the picture, you can see 100s of sensors... Microwire sensors by RVmagnetics are miniaturized (diameter ca. 3-70 μm) magnetic contactless sensors of physical quantities (temperature, pressure, pull, mechanical stress, torsion, magnetic field, position, etc.). Microwires are composite materials that consist of a metallic nucleus (diameter ca. 1-50 μm) and glass coating (thickness 2-20 μm). Their size, high added value, robustness, simple production process, and finally their symmetry, glass-coating, the possibility of contactless sensing leads to their utilization as a miniaturized sensor with a wide range of applications in industry.
