Prototype injection moulding
Prototype injection moulding in production materials – functional parts for fast, precise testing under real conditions.
Prototype injection moulding – test production-ready parts before series production
With prototype injection moulding from priomold, you receive functional plastic parts made from real production materials – manufactured quickly, precisely and under production-like conditions. This allows you to validate design, material, functionality and assembly before committing to full-scale production.
Unlike additively manufactured prototypes, the parts are produced using an actual injection moulding process. This means that material properties, surfaces and component behaviour closely reflect the future production part, providing a reliable basis for functional testing, approvals, pre-series production, customer samples and initial market testing.
The required aluminium moulds are manufactured directly in our in-house tooling department. Short communication paths and closely integrated processes enable fast lead times and a high degree of flexibility when design changes are required. Depending on the project, complex geometries as well as insert, outsert and multi-component solutions can also be realised.
From your first CAD data to the finished injection-moulded part, our experts support you with engineering, DFM, material consulting, tooling, injection moulding and quality assurance. Our in-house metrology lab can also provide comprehensive measurement and documentation.
The result: production-representative prototypes that help you validate your product early, reduce development risks and accelerate your path to series production.
