priomold’s two- and multi-component injection moulding solutions allow different plastics and material properties to be combined within a single component. Hard and soft areas, different colours or specific technical properties can be integrated directly during the injection moulding process.

Typical applications include components with soft-touch areas, seals, grip zones, functional surfaces or different levels of hardness. Combining the materials directly within the moulding process can reduce additional assembly and joining operations, simplify complex assemblies and enable innovative product designs.

For prototypes, pre-series and low-volume production in particular, multi-component injection moulding provides an excellent way to reproduce future production parts realistically and test their functionality under real-world conditions. Different thermoplastics and elastomers can be combined according to the specific requirements of the application.
