Cut-out switch

As part of The Otter Group we manufacture thermal cut-out switches for Otter Controls. The H1 series is a rapid response thermal safety cut-out suitable for rapid heating or air sensing applications. The H1 series is available in either auto reset or electrical reset options and is rated up to 16A at 250V. It can be provided in various terminal options and with a protective cover and meets worldwide approvals.

Motor Protection

As part of The Otter Group we manufacture motor protection switches for Otter Controls. The T series is our highest current 24V motor protector, capable of switching up to 25A at 24V and 100A at 12V. The T series is Otter Controls’ most robust and highest rated DC motor protector capable of switching up to 100A at 12V or 25A at 24V. A strong snap action and wide contact separation makes it ideal to cope with the high switching loads. As with the smaller Otter motor protectors, the T series is available in a range of current and temperature sensitive combinations. There are also options for the cover and the terminal configuration.

Thermostats

As part of The Otter Group we manufacture motor protection switches for Otter Controls. The V series is a versatile bimetal switch, available either as a thermostat or thermal/current sensing safety cut-out. The V series operates as a thermostat with a narrow ±2°C differential, or a thermal safety cut-out with a ±5°C differential. The V series is auto-resetting, has a 13A rating, is highly robust and meets worldwide approvals. It can be provided in a wide variety of covers with venting and fixing options.

Kettle Controls

Our parent company Otter Controls is an expert in 360° connecting kettle controls. Our kettle controls provide high performance at low prices, while providing the high safety standards you expect. Our controls are also versatile, offering a number of additional optional features, such as thick film element support.

Connectors

Our parent company Otter controls has a wide selection of electrical connectors and couplers, including wash proof options. Otter provides a variety of 360° electrical connectors; typically for small domestic appliances, plus we can develop bespoke connection systems for your products. Historically some of the range were manufactured at St Davids Assemblies

Thick Film Elements

Via our sister company Ferro Techniek, Otter Controls also offer kettle controls with integrated thick film elements for improved energy efficiency.

Flow Through Heater

Our sister company Ferro Techniek complements the Otter range with Flow through technology. To optimise heat transfer from the Ferro heating element, the water is pumped through a channel circulating it over the full element surface. Depending upon the water speed and the wattage this will provide a flow of 93°C water in seconds for espresso making or a lower specified temperature for a special tea. Using the same FTH & lower water speed it will create steam for heating & frothing milk. Due to the responsive nature the Ferro FTH will eliminate the need for standby time or storing hot water, improving the energy efficiency of your application.
