Unison Ltd
About us
Around the world, Unison is the byword for ultra-precise tube and pipe manipulation. We invented all-electric tube bending in 1994 and today offer the widest choice of powerful, precise, British-built, all-electric tube and pipe bending machines.
We recently launched a range of dual-stack hybrid tube benders. Through Nukon Lasers UK, we offer highly accessible, high-quality European fibre laser cutting machines to manufacturers in the UK and Ireland. While our Pneuform range sets the standard in wire and small-diameter tube bending machines.
For world-class machines with first-class support, set your sights on the Unison family.

Tube Bending Machines
With precise, all-electric operation, user-friendly programming, rapid tool changes and uncompromising accuracy and repeatability, Unison Breeze machines have redefined tube bending. Widely seen as the ultimate tube bending machines by specialist manufacturers and subcontractors, Unison Breeze models deliver right-first-time repeat tube bending, using feedback from our very own Opt2Sim Scan 3D measuring device, or from brands such as Romer, Faro, AICON and Creaform. Intelligent solutions, such as our rise and fall pressure die (which allows tools of different radii to be used during a production cycle), barcode tooling, laser springback correction and servo-rake wiper adjustment offer significant operational savings. As does each Breeze machine’s exceptionally low energy consumption – typically one tenth of that used by an equivalent hydraulic machine. Add exceptional power and control for high-quality thin wall bending, and Unison Breeze machines make light work of challenges where other tube benders may struggle.

Nukon Fibre Laser Cutting Machines
When we decided to bring precision laser cutting into the Unison family, the options were clear: either start from scratch and build our own range of fibre laser machines, or team up with an established fibre laser machine tool manufacturer whose high standards of service and customer care matched our own. After much research, we partnered with European fibre laser machine maker, Nukon, and are proud to offer its 2D, 3D, tube fibre laser and loading and unloading solutions through Nukon Lasers UK – the exclusive Nukon distributor for the UK and Ireland. Built to exacting standards, Nukon machines are accessibly priced. High-spec standard features include: nLIGHT fibre lasers, Beckhoff controls and Lantek Expert software – one of the most advanced CAD/CAM nesting software packages on the market today.

Wire Bending Machines
For more than 50 years, Pneuform has been a leading name in the manufacture of wire forming and small-diameter tube bending machines. Pneuform was the first company to produce CNC programmable, 2-axis tube and wire bending machines – bringing them to market in the late 1970s. Pneuform then went on to develop the world’s first 3-axis wire bending machines in the 1980s and, since then, has stayed at the forefront of wire and small-diameter tube bending technologies. Today, as a member of the Unison family, Pneuform continues to lead the way in the design and build of specialist wire and small-bore tube bending machines. Exciting new wire and small-bore tube bending machines are in the pipeline, supported by Unison’s advanced user-friendly control systems and simulation software, and backed by its legendary service and support team. Where high-volume production is required, and the material can come from coils, the Pneuform range of machines can solve most of your applications.
Tube Bender Tooling
Whatever your consumable bend tooling requirements or frequency, we’ll supply to order or create a bespoke tooling agreement that meets your needs perfectly – holding the wiper dies, mandrel balls, mandrel wires, links and other stock you require at one of our UK, USA or partner facilities for scheduled and swift, on-demand delivery. Unison Consumable Tooling Agreements allow our customers to take advantage of shorter lead times, reduced on-site stockholding levels and significant cost savings. Unison launches new consumable tooling service As well as consumable bend tooling, we also produce long-life precision tooling for the most challenging of tube manipulation applications. Choosing Unison consumable tooling means: Scheduled and on-demand consumable tooling delivery Much faster delivery times than made-to-order tools Eliminate the risk of a tooling shortage stopping production Standardise the tooling used across all your facilities Reduce the stockholding and value of tooling you keep on site Save money – volume discounts and convenient, regular payments If a consumable tooling agreement isn’t for your business, we also offer one off orders, allowing you to get the consumable tooling supplies you need on short lead times.
Software
Developed for ‘Design to Manufacture’ production strategies, our Opt2Sim tube bending simulation software suite uses machine and component data to provide a precise, virtual insight into the tube bending process – before a single trial part is bent. Available in the following versions – or with the option to create your ideal tube bending software package – Opt2Sim’s competitive annual licensing fees make it a highly attractive option. Opt2Sim icon The Opt2Sim Suite includes: Opt2Sim Step Drag and drop STEP files into the software application and extract tube bending data instantly. Or draw parts by entering XYZ coordinates or YBC data and view them in 3D. Quickly convert bending data into printable PDF reports. Opt2Sim Tube Simulate parts accurately in real time on a CAD-based virtual model of your bending machine, with collision detection and fully automatic smart collision resolution that will find a manufacturing solution for even the most complex tube geometry. Opt2Sim + WPS Add our Work Processing System to the simulator, allowing multiple users to batch-process parts on multiple bending machines at once. Opt2Sim Scan Rapidly process 3D scans of bent parts to extract tube geometry. Compare and align scans to master data with a single click, and export tube corrections to a PDF report or direct to the bending machine in Supravision format.
