CNC machining
Large-format and complex geometry delivered with a balanced mix of platforms:
• Hurco DCX 42i (4.2 m × 2.5 m) with optional side head – large plates, fixtures, structural parts.
• GROB G550a – PSS - R900 13 Rotary pallet system, multi-axis platform for contoured, tolerance-critical details and in a temperature-controlled cell.
• Hurco VMX60SRTi with Erowa 10-pallet automation – fast changeovers & repeatability.
• VMX42SRTi rotary-tilt head – true simultaneous 5-axis to compress multi-setup parts into a single clamp.
• Fleet of Hurco VMX 3-axis machines (VMX64T ×3, VMX60, VMX50S) plus VM30, VMX24Mi, VMX30Di ×2, VM20Di, and Hurco TM12i turning.
Outcome: fewer re-clamps, reduced stack-up error, and dependable throughput from one-offs to repeat series.

5-axis Laser cutting
Trumpf TruLaser Cell 7040 (4 kW) with twin-cell configuration for efficient cycle times.
Capabilities: 5-axis cutting up to 4 mm (flat blanks to 5 mm), laser etching, programme modification at the machine, and cutting across mild steel, stainless, aluminium, brass, copper, and certain plastics—from prototypes through high-volume production.
Result: precise, reliable parts that feed cleanly into downstream forming and assembly, supported by ISO/IATF systems.

Stamping & presswork
Midlands-based try-out and production on a 2,500-ton mechanical press (bed 4050 × 2200 mm, shut height 1183 mm), with coil feed up to 1,520 mm. Dual-motor drive enables both high-volume production and micro-drive single-stroke control for safe, precise proving and parameter lock-down before full-rate runs.

Press tooling
Design, manufacture, repair, and reverse engineering—all in-house.
• Single-operation, tandem and transfer tools
• Blanking, forming, trimming, progression
• 20-ton crane with turnover; safe handling to 45 tons
• Construction options: pattern & casting (to 16 tons), fabricated egg-box
• Emergency tool repair with in-house scanning for geometry recovery and fast turnaround

6-axis press brake & assemblies
6-axis CNC press brake up to 3 metres and welded assemblies capability support complete part manufacture and cell-based production, minimising transport and coordination risks.

Leadership & team
Founded in 1974 (as LBE Contract Tooling), rebranded Tooling 2000 in 1996, and operating from a 28,000 sq ft facility since 2001. Today the company is led by Gary Williams (Managing Director) and Dawn Jeavons (Financial Director), with a 45-strong team—and proud involvement of the next generation.
