CADCAM Programmer / CNC Miller Programmer Setter Operator
Rockwood Composites is seeking an experienced CNC Miller Programmer Setter Operator to join our growing team. This permanent role has become available due to an increasing order book and exciting projects across the Aerospace, Medical, Defence, and Cryogenic sectors.
You will work within a skilled machine shop, supporting both production machining and one-off items such as tooling and fixturing. Rockwood is committed to ongoing development and upskilling, offering a secure role with continuous training opportunities.
We are looking for a motivated team player with strong CNC machining experience who can perform under tight deadlines. Ideal candidates will have experience with 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC machines, including programming, setting, and operating. Familiarity with CADCAM software and a range of CNC controls is highly desirable, though training is available.
Key Responsibilities:
Set and operate 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC machines
Program/edit using machine controls and CADCAM software
Interpret engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances
Inspect own work and support team throughput
Work independently and understand machining processes
Knowledge & Experience:
Strong background in CNC component machining
Proficient in programming languages and CADCAM
Skilled in reading engineering drawings and applying tolerances
Composites experience is essential
