Motorsport Club 2025 – revving up the Italy-UK cooperation engine

[May 2025]

Earlier this month, our CEO, Pim van Baarsen, travelled to Bologna in Italy as part of a UK delegation, which also included several STC Members, to take part in Motorsport Club 2025 – an annual event dedicated to promoting and strengthening relationships between Italian and British companies operating in the motorsport industry.

The event brought together brilliant minds and passionate professionals from Italy and the UK – all under one roof, all sharing one goal: shaping the future of high-performance engineering.

Ahead of the event, the visitors were taken for a tour of CPC Group based in Modena, specialising in the mechanical processing of aluminium and composite materials in various sectors, such as automotive, motorsport, industrial and aeronautics.

Pim said, “It was great to be part of a group of visitors to CPC, a truly impressive company, who are experiencing a really fantastic growth journey. As always, I’m looking to develop opportunities for our STC members and these visits and the Motorsport Club 2025 event are an important part of that.”

Pim was invited to participate in the opening of Motorsport Club 2025, along with Serena Corti from the Department for Business and Trade (DBT).

A number of other STC Members were invited to take part in the speaker panels, including:

> Selin Aria Tur, CTO of Williams Grand Prix Technologies, who joined the “Misano” panel which focused on technology transfer.

> Gregory Edwards, Founder & MD of Hooper Quinn, who joined the “Imola” panel which focused on powertrain development.

James Oliver, of Oliver Talent Solutions, was also invited to the stage to talk about High Performance Coffee Club Italy, emphasising the importance of networking.

Pim summarised, “It was great to see so many STC members at the event, and we would like to express our sincere thanks to Matteo Costariol and the team at GMA Global for organising such a powerful event.”
