Renishaw continue to invest in clean energy generation
Solarsense has been working with Renishaw Plc on their ongoing clean energy projects since 2015. Following the success of the initial New Mills solar scheme (pictured), it became evident that many of the organization's energy-intensive sites were ideal for solar PV to reduce costs and improve their ESG credentials.
As a result, Renishaw partnered with Solarsense to develop a range of solar projects, including on-roof solar panels, ground-mounted PV arrays, and solar carports. Each individual site required a different approach and presented a range of different obstacles to overcome, including; grid limitations, access issues and shading problems, however, the expert design teams were able to overcome these using a variety of specialist technologies.
