Teflon / PTFE Coated Extractable Metric Dowel Pins
Self lubricating steel dowel pins with PTFE coating. Boneham Standard DP35B Metric Tapped dowel with an extreme performance hybrid coating. The dowel pin coating consists of PTFE, PFA and FEP. This coating is a dry film lubricant which gives the dowel excellent release properties in applications such as composites where resin can frequently lock in a standard dowel pin. PTFE coated dowel pins come in charcoal finish as standard, but other colour finishes can be manufactured to assist with production identification and application requirements. Further unique properties of the coated Boneham extreme performance dowel. Why are these non-stick, self lubricating dowels performance dowels? - Low friction coefficient to 0.02 - Exceptional non-stick release properties - Wear resistance under extreme pressures - Excellent Chemical and corrosion resistance - Environmental resistance against UV light, salt water and widely used road chemicals - Wide operating temperatures from -250°c to 285°c - Colour options available

The Aeronautical Journal
The Aeronautical Journal has, for over a century, been the UK’s leading scientific and technical aeronautics Journal and is the world’s oldest Aerospace Journal that remains in production. Published monthly, The Aeronautical Journal draws upon the expertise and resources of The Royal Aeronautical Society providing a world-wide forum for authors from the UK and overseas. Research papers are solicited on all aspects of research, design and development, construction and operation of aircraft and space vehicles. Papers are also welcomed which review, comprehensively, the results of recent research developments in any of the above topics.

The MAA new technology catalogue
A celebration of 10 years of MAA support for more than 40 technology development projects.

This includes: - Over 20,000 aeronautical books - A vast collection of key aviation journals - Over 40,000 technical reports - Extensive holdings of Air Publications, ATA handling notes and air accident reports - Extensive current holdings of International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Documents / Annexes / Circulars - Notices to Airmen / The Air Pilot / UK Aeronautical Information Publication (AIP) - A complete set of Jane’s All The World’s Aircraft - Historically important past minutes of the Society of British Aircraft Constructors / Aerospace Companies (SBAC) Council and its various committees dating from 1916-2000 - Located at Farnborough Business Park, in the former Royal Aircraft Establishment Building now known as ‘The Hub’

The smallest passive custom sensor in the world
The smallest passive sensor of physical quantities is based on micro-wires. Contactless measurement of physical quantities (temperature, mechanical stress, torsion, pull, position, magnetic field, and more), uses one interface. Sensors can be mixed in many materials and used in many areas: the Internet of Things, Structural Health Monitoring, Constructions, Biomedical Applications, Preventive and Predictive Maintenance tooling. In the picture, you can see 100s of sensors... Microwire sensors by RVmagnetics are miniaturized (diameter ca. 3-70 μm) magnetic contactless sensors of physical quantities (temperature, pressure, pull, mechanical stress, torsion, magnetic field, position, etc.). Microwires are composite materials that consist of a metallic nucleus (diameter ca. 1-50 μm) and glass coating (thickness 2-20 μm). Their size, high added value, robustness, simple production process, and finally their symmetry, glass-coating, the possibility of contactless sensing leads to their utilization as a miniaturized sensor with a wide range of applications in industry.

Thermostats
As part of The Otter Group we manufacture motor protection switches for Otter Controls. The V series is a versatile bimetal switch, available either as a thermostat or thermal/current sensing safety cut-out. The V series operates as a thermostat with a narrow ±2°C differential, or a thermal safety cut-out with a ±5°C differential. The V series is auto-resetting, has a 13A rating, is highly robust and meets worldwide approvals. It can be provided in a wide variety of covers with venting and fixing options.

Thick Film Elements
Via our sister company Ferro Techniek, Otter Controls also offer kettle controls with integrated thick film elements for improved energy efficiency.

Thingworx
Thingworx is an Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT) platform that solves common challenges across different industries. From service to workforce efficiency and asset optimization.
