MRPC Receives “Innovation in Vacuum Busch Award”
MRPC is a subsidiary of the AXTech Group, which specializes in customized heavy lifting and handling equipment for the maritime and offshore industries. The award-winning system minimizes the roll and pitch movements that operating equipment is exposed to at sea. This is especially important for vessels where heavy lifting or winching operations are carried out. The system ensures that the vessel remains within the range of acceptable tilting so that these operations can be performed safely. This is achieved by rapidly filling and emptying ballast tanks using large volumes of seawater. Compressors and vacuum pumps from Busch make it possible to adjust the volume in the tanks very quickly by generating overpressure to empty them and vacuum to fill them, thereby keeping the vessel in an acceptable position. In addition, fast-acting valves and a control system with advanced algorithms allow the system to compensate immediately. The buoyancy control system developed by MRPC is reliable, safe, energy efficient, and suitable not only for ships but for all types of floating units. Wind turbines, for example, can also be effectively kept in balance by this system. As the tilt of a wind turbine plays a major role in maintaining its performance, it ensures higher productivity and a longer turbine life. Sami Busch, Co-owner and Co-CEO of the Busch Group, handed the award over to the engineers from MRPC, saying: “With the help of vacuum technology, you have found an innovative and sustainable answer to the challenges posed by strong waves at sea. We would like to honour you with the ‘Innovation in Vacuum Busch Award’ for this pioneering problem solution.” Busch presents the “Innovation in Vacuum Busch Award” once a year. This award honours individuals or companies that make use of vacuum technology with particularly innovative ideas, thereby benefiting people and the environment.

MSL has announced the opening of its latest UK facility at Silverstone Innovation Centre to increase adoption of the 'Measuring Rooms' approach.
Following an exponential increase in the adoption of Creaform’s HandySCAN3D and MetraSCAN3D in the F1 and Motorsport sector, MSL has announced the opening of it's third UK facility at Silverstone Innovation Centre to increase engineering and application support. We have taken the strategic decision to open a third UK Facility within the Silverstone Innovation Centre in the heart of Northamptonshire’s Motorsport Valley. With technical support and demonstration facilities already located in both Derby and Peterborough, this further supports the managements intention to increase the growth of installations with local applications engineering teams.

MXTTU™ – THE NEXT-GENERATION DIGITAL SCANNING SOLUTION
Our MxTTU™ product combines advanced non-destructive testing technology with all the benefits of current TTU offerings. MxTTU™ is the only portable and practical device in the world that can offer the conclusiveness of live C-scans and simplified TTU evaluation. This means you can achieve the in-depth, high-quality diagnostics of traditional methods, in an easy-to-use, flexible handheld device. There are several benefits of performing MxTTU™ versus standard Pulse-Echo (PE) systems, such as providing a larger inspection area enabling improved alignment for high precision tasks without sacrificing resolution or rate of evaluation. It also enables you to inspect materials that hinder sound propagation with high attenuation properties, such as multiple bond layers, honeycomb cores, or foam cores. Yet, one of the most valuable aspects of the dolphicam2 MxTTU™ system is the unique design providing the ability to toggle between MxTTU™and Pulse-Echo mode without having to use another system or changing transducers making it quick and easy to use. This technology really changes the fidelity for how clients can use TTU systems, still only weighing 3kg and so portable, this is a go-anywhere system for manufacturers and for in-service inspection. This innovative new product from our team here at dolphitech was developed with the support of Spirit AeroSystems, which are one of the world's largest manufacturers of aerostructures for commercial aeroplanes, defence platforms and contributed to the development of our MxTTU™. We are recognised around the world for high-quality products and are dedicated to supporting our customers to ensure the reliability and integrity of their in-service assets and manufactured structures. So, whatever you need to inspect, from multiple-bond layers to honeycomb or foam cores, MxTTU™ makes non-destructive testing on complex structures and materials is far simpler – it’s the next-gen scanning solution you’ve been waiting for.

Nederman SAVE - Energy optimisation with enormous savings potential
BRW is the woodworking industry leader in Europe. Woodworking is a continuous process, often with two or three shifts up to 16 hours a day and energy consumption is a significant cost item. The filtration plant in Biłgoraj was installed 15 years ago and their existing control system means it was impossible to adapt the air extraction to the current use of the machines and thereby minimise energy use. It was quite simple for us to resolve this using our Nederman SAVE energy saving concept, by which we supplemented the existing equipment with digital sensors, equipped the system with additional dampers and inverters, as well as an intelligent control system for these. Nederman SAVE knows which machine or part of the machine that is in use and the extraction requirement, and based on this, the entire system is adjusted to minimise energy consumption. This new system is a much more effective solution compared with a differential pressure monitoring system that is otherwise used in most systems in the market. Visit the website to read more.
