Nomex® Honeycomb – Ultra-lightweight aramid core

Nomex® honeycomb is a non-metallic structural core manufactured from aramid paper impregnated with phenolic resin. It offers an outstanding strength-to-weight ratio, excellent stiffness and high fatigue resistance, making it an ideal solution for high-performance composite structures.

Its excellent electrical insulation properties, together with its resistance to corrosion and moisture, make Nomex® honeycomb particularly suitable for demanding environments where durability and reliability are essential.

Available in both commercial (SC2) and aerospace (SC1) grades, it is compatible with a wide range of composite manufacturing processes and can be supplied in different cell sizes and densities to meet specific design requirements.

Typical applications include aerospace, defence, railway, marine, automotive and other high-performance industrial sectors.
