Getting sustainable with Advanced Engineering

1 & 2 November 2023 | NEC, Birmingham

We’re working to reduce the carbon footprint of our events and doing everything we can to highlight and promote sustainability at all levels of event planning and execution.

Ensuring sustainability is an integral goal of Advanced Engineering, and this page outlines the steps we’re taking to ensure our event is as environmentally friendly as it can be from a top-line level at Easyfairs, to the venue we use, to the show itself.

Our sustainability actions

Reusable stands

All stands used by our exhibitors at Advanced Engineering and other Easyfairs events are reusable year-on-year, saving large amounts of waste from landfill

Keeping digital

We've stopped printing show guides that will just end up being scrapped, instead we use smart badge technology and a show app to reduce paper waste

Sustainability Trail

Launched in 2022, we're highlighting exhibitors with sustainable products or solutions on the Sustainability Trail live at the show. The Sustainability Gallery will be available to view soon!

Across the board

Environmental changes have been implemented across all Easyfairs regions, offices and venues. From using energy efficient lighting to scrapping disposable cutlery, we're aiming to make a difference

The experts

There's always more we can be doing, so we work with a sustainability consultancy company Climact, to empower us to act on climate change and work towards a sustainable zero-carbon society by 2050

Inspiring you

We can't do it without you! We're encouraging exhibitors to use our sustainable contractors wherever possible, visitors to travel via public transport and all attendees to make sustainable choices at the show
