      Motor Protection

As part of The Otter Group we manufacture motor protection switches for Otter Controls. The T series is our highest current 24V motor protector, capable of switching up to 25A at 24V and 100A at 12V. The T series is Otter Controls’ most robust and highest rated DC motor protector capable of switching up to 100A at 12V or 25A at 24V. A strong snap action and wide contact separation makes it ideal to cope with the high switching loads. As with the smaller Otter motor protectors, the T series is available in a range of current and temperature sensitive combinations. There are also options for the cover and the terminal configuration.

    4. MPAS Accreditation

      MPAS Accreditation

MPAS (Military Packaging Approval Scheme) MSA Foams have received the MPAS (Military Packaging Approval Scheme) accreditation to design and manufacture military packaging. MPAS ensures that Military Level Packaging meets the MoD requirements for safe handling, storage and transportation etc., within the military supply chain in a cost effective manner. The accreditation is awarded following a rigorous training scheme; the process includes the certification of individual designers and the registration of organisations to ensure they have the desired competencies to manufacture military level packaging. MSA’s Senior Designers are now certified to authorise SPIS designs for Military level packaging, as supplied to the MOD under Defence standard 81 – 41, DEFCON 129 and the Defence Logistics Framework (DLF). In addition to the ISO standard, MPAS certification verifies that MSA Foams, as a manufacturer, has the capabilities to produce suitable military level packaging for the particular requirement. It demands an in depth knowledge of Defence standard 81-41.

    5. MRG30 RESIN ROLLER LINEAR GUIDE

      MRG30 RESIN ROLLER LINEAR GUIDE

RESIN ROLLER LINEAR GUIDE MRG30 Passed a run test of 100km •Supports horizontal load Fx, Fv, moment in Mz direction, and vertical usage. •Guide block uses resin rollers for quiet operation. •Blue rollers are made of Monomer Cast Nylon for enhanced durability. •Tested at 200mm/s for 500,000 round trips of 100mm (total distance 100km). Application •Automated machines, medical equipment, analytical devices, machine tools, etc. Highly Durable Monomer Cast Nylon Rollers Roller type mechanism eliminates ball creep. Ball creep is a phenomenon where travel distances vary between outward and return paths due to a misaligned ball contact point that may occur on ball type rails because of sliding or applied force. If extra load is applied in this state, the rail may become unable to move.

    6. MTB350

      MTB350

To help with the battle against rising energy and transportation costs, SHD’s novel MTB350 epoxy prepreg system can be stored at a typical room temperature of 20°C/68°F for up to 6 months and still maintain product life. By removing the requirement for freezing during transportation and storage, MTB350 therefore offers potential for significant associated cost savings. This unique epoxy system provides not only a clear financial saving but also an additional environmental benefit. The reduced CO₂ footprint achieved in avoiding frozen shipment and storage being coupled with a resin system formulated to include 30% certified bio-based content. Complementing the extended room temperature product life, MTB350 is a versatile component system with excellent baseline mechanical performance, service up to 140°C/284°F and the capacity to ‘snap cure’ at elevated temperatures. MTB350 has also been optimised to work well in combination with natural fibre reinforcements such as flax, providing improved handling characteristics and excellent fibre wet-out throughout the full manufacturing processing. This is another material development that underlines SHD’s continued commitment to real and tangible gains supporting the composites supply chain on its long road to Net-Zero.
